My name is Mrs. Peterson and I am a 3rd grade teacher at Anthem School. I can't tell you how excited I am to live and work in such a wonderful community.
I have been teaching elementary school for fifteen years and still love it as much as the very first year. I am a third generation teacher so I have been around amazing teachers my entire life. I knew since I was a small child that teaching was the job for me. I graduated from ASU West with a degree in Elementary Education and an emphasis in Early Childhood. I later went back and received my Masters Degree in Elem. Ed. I am married to a wonderful man, Jerry, who is a Sgt. with the Phoenix Police Department. We are lucky enough to have three awesome children. Their names are Hannah (12), Rebecca (11), and Tyler (8). We also have three dogs, Cody, Winnie, and Abby. Life at my house can be a bit crazy, but we have a lot of fun! One of our favorite things to do as a family is hit the beach (which we try and do several times a year).
You will soon discover my passion for reading. I hope that you love books as much as I do because you will be doing a great deal of reading this year.
One of the most important things to me is communication. I will do my best to keep my students and their families informed about what is going on at school. In return, I ask that you come to me for anything and everything that might be going on. Together we can (and WILL) move mountains!
